The 16th World Congress and Exhibition on Intelligent Transport System & Services was held in Stockholm on 21‒25 September 2009. JERID presented itself with a contribution in the technical section focusing on the efficiency of transport over long distances, subtitled 4 transport modes, 4 different views.
JERID Company personated a rail transport in this section, the other 3 speakers represented shipping and truck transport. Contribution on the monitoring of wagons in Europe and Asia with the support of the E-RailMap and ERWIN projects raised an interest of participants to this issue in a subsequent panel discussion. In it, all participants agreed that Europe lacks a system that could be used for effective transportation planning, using all 4 transport modes (rail, road, aircrafts and ships).
